Matthew Frye-Castillo (He/Him) is a writer living in Astoria, Queens.
He is a cce/tenure-track lecturer in professional and creative writing at Lehman College, City University of New York, and is the author of One Headlight: An Alaskan Memoir (Cirque Press).
He has worked as a writer and editor in product and content marketing, financial consulting, journalism, and publishing.
He was an arts & culture journalist for several years in Alaska and New York City. His essays, interviews, fiction, and poetry have appeared in Newtown Literary, Best Gay Stories, Understory, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and Worn in New York, which was featured in the Netflix adaptation, Worn Stories.
Matthew is at work on a novel, an essay collection, and the first book-length study of the relationship between Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns.
